Sandra S. Moran

BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION:

SANDRA S. MORAN is an associate in the Princeton office of Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney PC. She is a member of the firm's Litigation Section and the White Collar Defense and Investigations Group.

Sandra has experience with commercial litigation cases relating to contract, employment, intellectual property, real estate, corporate and partnership disputes. In litigating such matters, Sandra has successfully negotiated favorable settlements for clients, argued dispositive motions and conducted trials. She has drafted motion papers and briefs before the Third Circuit Court of Appeals and New Jersey Appellate Division.

Examples of her representations include:

  • Successfully settling case for client whose rental property was damaged, and later condemned, because of developer's negligent excavation of an underground parking garage at an adjacent lot, by selling property to developer for over 30 percent above appraised value of client's property prior to damage.
  • Obtained voluntary dismissal of church members' claims against their pastor and church for misappropriation of funds after the court's granting of the defendants' motion to disqualify the plaintiffs' expert following cross-examination at trial.
  • Obtained specific performance on contract for the sale of real estate for buyer following successful order to show cause and subsequent trial.

Before joining Buchanan, Sandra was an associate in the litigation department of a New Jersey-based firm where she was also a summer associate and law clerk. Additionally, she served as an intern for the Honorable Nicholas H. Politan, District Judge of the U.S. District Court of New Jersey.

Sandra serves as an At-Large Board Member of the Women's Fund of New Jersey, Co-Chair of the Operations Committee of the Zonta Club of Trenton, and as Trustee for the New Jersey Women Lawyers Association.

Sandra received her J.D. degree from the Rutgers School of Law in 2001, where she served as the notes and comments editor of the Rutgers Law Review. She earned her B.A. degree in 1998, graduating cum laude, from Rutgers College. She was a member of the Phi Beta Kappa, Pi Sigma Alpha and Golden Key Honor Societies.

She is admitted to practice in New York and New Jersey.
