A 4 MONTH POSITION WITH THE LIKELIHOOD OF BECOMING A PERMANENT POSITION
IT IS
NOT A LEGAL POSITION.
[Posted March 24, 2008]
A boutique investment bank is seeking a part-time, NYC-area professional to
work 15 - 25 hours a week. This is a non-legal position requiring 2 - 6
years of investment banking experience. The position will be for a minimum
four-month term with the likelihood of transitioning into a permanent
part-time position.
Employer Description: We are a boutique investment banking firm which
focuses exclusively on mergers & acquisitions under $100 million in purchase
price. We provide a high level of intellectual and transactional horsepower
for our clients and work with passion and intensity; but we also strive to
maintain outstanding work-life balance for our people. We have a small group
of professionals, and currently are seeking an experienced investment
banking professional with 2 to 6 years of experience specifically in mergers& acquisitions. An optimal candidate will have the ability to lead
engagements with limited supervision.
Investment Banking Experience Required: Candidates must have 2 to 6 years of
investment banking experience, specifically in mergers & acquisitions.
Candidates should be able to (with only limited supervision) manage and lead
smaller engagements in their entirety, including:
- Drafting offering memoranda;
- Conducting financial statement analysis;
- Identifying and pitching
prospective buyers and sellers;
- Negotiating a valuation, and a
transaction structure.
New York City Location: Candidates should be based in the New York City
area.
Telecommuting Available: This position will infrequently - perhaps once a
month - require that the candidate meet in person in the New York City area,
or possibly elsewhere to attend a client meeting. Other than that, it is
possible to work almost entirely by telecommuting.
Temporary to Permanent Position Likely: We are initially offering this
position for a minimum four month period part-time; however, we anticipate
that the position will become a permanent part-time position.
15 - 25 Hours Per Week: We anticipate an hourly range of 15 - 25 hours per
week will be typical.
Compensation: Competitive hourly rate, with possible "upside" based upon a
share of success fees on engagements.
