Rapidly growing personal injury law practice is seeking motivated Associate Attorneys with 1–5 years of experience. The positions available offer the opportunity to work closely with an experienced partner and gain hands-on litigation and trial experience while assisting with an active caseload. Practice areas include pre-litigation, motor vehicle, premises liability, workers compensation, medical malpractice, and nursing home abuse and neglect.
Responsibilities
- Assist a partner with management of an active personal injury litigation caseload
- Draft and respond to written discovery
- Draft and respond to substantive motions and legal briefs
- Conduct and defend depositions
- Assist with case preparation, strategy, and litigation support through all phases of a matter
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and experts as needed
- Attend court proceedings and assist at trial
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Admitted to practice in New Jersey (pending or active)
- 1–5 years of litigation experience
- Strong legal writing and analytical skills
- Ability to work collaboratively under the supervision of a partner
Preferred (Not Required)
- Personal injury litigation experience (plaintiff or defense)
- Judicial Internship or Clerkship
- Experience drafting discovery responses and motions
- Experience taking or defending depositions
- Trial experience
- Admission to New York Bar (pending or active)
Additional Requirements
- Candidate should have the ability to commute to and work out of our New Jersey law offices and travel to courthouses throughout New Jersey.
