Last week, NJWLA hosted its first in-person Judicial Panel in over 5 years! We were thrilled to be back to such a well-loved tradition in the newly constructed Jury Assembly Room at the U.S. District Courthouse in Newark. We were even more thrilled to have such a fabulous panel of judges sharing their insights, experience, practice tips and wisdom with our attendees.
Our panel included two prior NJWLA Board Members, Honorable Stacey D. Adams, United States Magistrate Judge, and Honorable Ellen Torregrossa-O’Connor, New Jersey Superior Court, Appellate Division Judge, along with other esteemed jurists, Honorable Evelyn Padin, United States District Judge, Honorable Sheila Venable, Assignment Judge, New Jersey Superior Court, Essex County, and Honorable Lisa Miralles Walsh, Assignment Judge, New Jersey Superior Court, Union County. The CLE panel was expertly moderated by Hon. Harriet Farber Klein (Ret.)
We are grateful to our attendees, to the judges who dedicated their time to be part of our panel, to the board members of our Judicial Outreach Committee for pulling together a stellar team of panelists, and preparing a dialogue that allowed the judges to share their stories candidly.
Special thanks to the District Courthouse for hosting us and to Barnes & Thornburg LLP for generously sponsoring the food and the CLE!
