Public Employment Relations Specialist 3

An opportunity currently exists in the Public Employment Relations Commission (PERC) within the unclassified State service for a candidate who meets the minimum job requirements specified
below:

TITLE: Public Employment Relations Specialist 3
STARTING SALARY: $67,448.21 – $77,028.38
LOCATION: Public Employment Relations Commission, 495 West State Street, Trenton

DEFINITION: The position represents the Public Employment Relations Commission in unfair practice, representation, scope of negotiations matters, unit determinations, and alleged violations of the Act, as governed by the New Jersey Employer-Employee Relations Act. Analyzes, interprets and applies the Commission’s rules, Rules of Evidence, relevant statutes and case precedent in handling all matters.

REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION
Graduation from an accredited college and a law school with a J.D. degree.

EXPERIENCE
At least one year of experience as a mediator, hearing officer, labor relations neutral or advocate involving public sector labor relations.
